Molly has been very cross with me since my big party back in April. Apparently she actually came to my party but nobody told me that she was there so she stayed in her room all night and got angry with me for not calling her to come down and dance with me. I don’t understand why she was cross with me, it was obviously her bold mothers fault for not letting me know that she was there (her mother was at the party having fun so she probably didn’t want to have to keep an eye on Molly).
So I decided to try to get back into Molly’s good books. I didn’t really know how to so I asked my Daddy what to do. He said to ask my Mummy because apparently she’s a girl too. I didn’t know that. So I asked her but she was busy so she told me to Google ‘romantic things to do’. The main thing that kept coming up was ‘romantic dining al fresco’. I had no idea what that was. I thought it might involve hiring someone called Al to cook but Mummy laughed at me and told me it meant eating outside. I could do that!
I got Mummy to go over to Molly’s house to ask her parents if she could come over for dinner. Her dad said yes. He’s nice. Mummy then had to help me set up the table. She got a table and chairs that were the right size for us and then she got a table cloth and glasses and plates. And napkins with hearts on them 🙂 I even put a candle on the table and a flower in a little bowl (the Internet said that flowers are very important when trying to make girls like you).
Here we are getting ready to have our dinner.
I think it all went well because Molly gave me a kiss on the nose after dinner 🙂 I’m fairly sure she’s not cross with me any more! She’s gone home now with her parents and I’m going to bed. Being romantic takes far too much effort.
